Energy efficient windows from dem
DEM energy efficient windows are proven to save energy and reduce rising fuel bills, as well as lowering carbon emissions.
Why the need for Window Energy Efficient Windows?
Poorly constructed windows are a major source of heat loss and will increase the cost of keeping a building at a comfortable temperature – be it keeping warm or cool. Energy efficient windows from dem are constructed form thermally efficient profile and specially selected glazing units. The net result of which is a reduction in fuel bills and negative impact on the environment through lower carbon emissions.
Window Energy Rated (WER) – a basic definition
The Window Energy Rating (WER) method calculates all of the relevant factors in the energy efficiency of a window. As well as including the ‘loss factors’ such as U-value, it also includes the ‘gain factors’ such as the solar heat gain. The rating covers the frame material, the frame design, the glass type and all the other components that make up the window.
Look out for the WER labels on our windows
The WER label on dem windows illustrates the energy efficiency of that specific product. Energy labels can be provided to you as a certificate on request – please ask for futher details.
